Sasol sponsors the South African Paralympic Wheelchair basketball team. Our brief was to highlight their strengths rather then do the "aaah poor wheelchair guys, please give them some support" route. After all, they are great athletes and represent their country. So, in order to achieve this we put them up against the toughest competition known to the South African public. The Sasol Springbok rugby world champions. For the effort we won a Loerie and got Numerous finalists across various catergories. This is how it went...
Sasol Inzalo was another big project i did for the petro-chemicals giant. The campaign was to bring to the publics attention the fact that Sasol was selling a billion rands worth of shares in the company to the general public. The campaign was aimed at the man on the street so what better way to talk to him then, well, on the street... the campaign was a huge success and not only did we walk away with an Apex award, twice as many people registered for shares then expected. Pretty cool hey?
